She/Her/Hers

“I value honesty, kindness and joy in learning. A kind word can mean the world to a student when they’ve been struggling. ”

Lindsay loves art projects! In her classroom, projects oftentimes will build off of the books and learning materials that are presented in a unit. She finds great joy in seeing students faces light up as they experiment with painting, sculpting playdough, and collaging. Her jubilant classroom frequently will be found laughing, dancing, and having lively learning moments.

Lindsay has dedicated over two decades teaching children and adults. She has a Bachelors of Arts Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with concentration in History and a certificate in teaching English as a second language, from Northwest University. Lindsay’s nieces brought her to Kirkland Preschool, and she originally began as a substitute teacher. We are thrilled to have had her as a full-time teacher since 2015.

At home, Lindsay enjoys embroidery, beading, reading, drawing, and baking. Her cake creations are marvelous, and if you have the opportunity, you just have to try Lindsay’s homemade jam! (In fact, you can get a delicious jar by participating in one of her very generous fundraisers benefitting KPS!)

Every summer, you’ll find her and her students experimenting with crystal forests. She spends a great deal of time designing interactive activities such as, paper airplane making, “hydraulic engineering”, group art projects, and more! One of her favorite classroom experiences is, in her own words, “Summer Adventures and rigging up the waterslide. Watching the kids fly down the slide like lightning is so fun.” Lindsay brings joy and delight to every classroom!
